Family

My wife and I have been married for 18 years, and our two teenage daughters are approaching high school graduation. Raising a family in Canada today comes with challenges I never encountered in my youth. Topics like affordability, Indigenous Reconciliation, newcomer integration, and LGBTQ2+ inclusion are now part of our daily conversations. These discussions are guided by our family values and a commitment to understanding and respecting diverse perspectives.

Our home is a space for learning and open dialogue.  While out in the community, my passion for conversation and listening to people from all walks of life, has provided me with a broad understanding of issues that often go unnoticed but affect countless Canadians. As an MP, I would ensure these voices are heard.

Starting with nothing but a vision—both in business and family life—has been a challenge, but it has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for hard work and perseverance. We’ve sought to give our children a strong foundation while teaching them the value of contributing to society. Our family volunteers for charities, and as our daughters have grown, we’ve made volunteering a collective effort in the hopes that our work will make life better for others. We hope our example inspires others to prioritize service to their communities.

This ethos of service and our strong family bond provide the foundation for my commitment to becoming a Member of Parliament.

Raising a family and running a business are rooted in the same principles that should guide government: fostering resilience, supporting growth, and creating opportunities. My bid for public office is driven by a desire to safeguard and enhance our nation while enabling every individual to reach their potential. After years of decline, we must course-correct and place Canada back on a path to prosperity for current and future generations. This will require hard work, dedication, and common sense—principles I have upheld throughout my life and career.
